One crisp fall day in 2000, my ninth grade history teacher–a transplant from the Deep South–declared he loved West Virginia for many reasons. However, one of the reasons he loved the state so much was the fact “that West Virginia was ten years behind the rest of the nation, “so when the world comes to an end, West Virginia still has ten years!” When it comes to style and fashion, what my teacher told me so many years is nothing but gospel. I’ve started this blog to help encourage West Virginia women (and men) to fight the Appalachian stereotype and look their stylish best. No matter your budget, there’s no reason to not present yourself as best you can. If we all work together, we can make ourselves as beautiful as the West Virginia hills in autumn.

I’m from Huntington, West Virginia, then lived in Charleston, WV, for six years before returning back to my hometown.
I am a construction estimator. It’s an okay job.
I love sports, my favorites being basketball and hockey.
I’m a huge Mountaineers fan, obviously which influenced the name of my blog.
I majored in Printing Management at WVU Tech.
I’ve since gone back to school, studying International Relations with an emphasis on Security Studies.
I read about espionage a lot. My dream job is to be a historian at the International Spy Musuem.
I’m currently learning Russian, Arabic, and French.
